DAVID OLNEY Red Tail Hawk from the new DUTCHMAN'S CURVE album (2010)

www.davidolney.com Enjoy "Red Tail Hawk" as heard on David Olney's "DUTCHMAN's CURVE" album (Deadbeet Records, 2010). This video was shot in and around David's home in Nashville, TN. The song was inspired by the style of painter Alfred Durer, where objects get smaller and smaller within each other (like a gleam in reflection of eye). In David's words "To me, this is about a shifting point of view. The hawk flying in circles in the sky becomes a reflection in a woman's eye. The highway in a foreign land becomes the lifeline in someone's hand. A heartbeat turns into a love song and raindrop becomes a river." The prolific DAVID OLNEY has become known worldwide for his intense live performances - especially with multi-instrumentalist SERGIO WEBB - as well as his intelligent compositions as recorded by Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, Del McCoury, Tim O'Brien, Slaid Cleaves, Dale Ann Bradley, Ann Rabson, Kane/Welch/Kaplin and others. In 2009, David became a published author with "A Sign From God" featured in the release of "Amplified: Fiction From Leading Alt-Country, Indy Rock, Blues and Folk Musicians" (Melville House). Last Fall, David began broadcasting live on the internet every Tuesday with "Hear & Now" on uStream.tv in addition to posting videos of his stellar interpretations of classic poetry on YouTube. www.davidolney.com
