Unique POV perspective photography using pole-cam. a device hewn from hours (1.5) of scientific engineering and cutting edge equipment (plumbing parts and duct tape) . filmed at the Border model flying club ( hampshire England ) with an audience waiting with video cameras ready to catch the inevitable crash. Two points of note, 1, it was a very windy day making flying with out a 12ft pile strapped to the roof hard enough, let alone with one and 2, no aerobatics were atempted as it was a first flight and handling was less than easy. no problems with the take-off but the in flight handeling was some what odd. aileron responce was improved due i think, because of the the higher center of gravity. the elevator was slow to respond and neded a good blast of prop wash to keep things moving, this was i think due to the poles inertia, it was about 12 ft tip to tail. it was the landing phase that had concerned me the most. i was worried that i wouldn't have the elevator power to lift the nose but again a good blast of prop wash sorted it, turned into a really nice landing. i havn't seen any other films like this on you-tube which is why i made it ! enjoy.
