FAKE LM317 317 variable voltage regulators from Ebay

So I saw this great deal on Ebay for some nice looking 317 voltage regulators. Had to pick them up. They were all fake. I think 20 pieces sold for a few dollars. 20 pieces of !@#$ ! They would not regulate. No voltage variance. No pass current. Of course I assumed it was my circuit but in checking knew it could not be. I had been tricked! I immediately went to Radio Choke and picked a 317 up for 2 bucks. Of course it worked after that. Point: Always google check sellers and items you might want to purchase to see if there is any chatter about fakes. Also: Same seller sold me fake RF power transistors. That seller is no longer on Ebay. The nice ending to this is that this purchase was made with many other parts in one order. I received all my money back and kept the other parts.
