Great Egrets and Alligators live together at the Alligator Farm

A favorite nesting spot for Great Egrets is in the trees above a lagoon filled with alligators at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. The alligators provide protection for the bird's eggs and young from raccoons, their main predator.
