Oropendola Montezuma mating calls

This tree at Rancho El Rodeo in Costa Rica's central valley is filled with nests of Oropendola Montezuma birds. The mating call of the male is downright weird - as it makes the call, it lets itself drop upside down, waving its wings about. The noise itself is pretty odd, sounding as though it's coming out of an electronic synthesizer.
