影視製作彰三傳播事業有限公司為了減少電廠二氧化碳的排放，台電長期以來積極投入溫室氣體減量相關研究，自民國87年起由台電綜合研究所結合學術單位進行微藻固定二氧化碳的基礎研究，93年起於大林發電廠著手「微藻固定CO2整合研究計畫」，其相關研究內容有蒸發法海水淡化試驗、煙氣海水脫硫法尾水水質與生態試驗、海淡逆滲透膜逆洗關鍵技術開發、微藻固碳試驗用微藻養殖、大型化光合反應器、LED光源應用於微藻養殖、擬球藻養殖固碳等多項研究計畫。 To reduce CO2 emissions from power plants, Taipower has long been actively researching greenhouse gas reduction. Since 1998, Taiwan Power Research Institute has been conducting the basic study "microalgal CO2 fixation research plan" with academic units. In 2004, Taipower started the "Microalgal CO2 Fixation Research Plan" in Da-lin power plant. The research scope includes evaporation desalination testing, a seawater flue gas desulfurization process for tailwater quality and ecology testing, key technology development in seawater desalination and backwash process in reverse osmosis membrane, microalgae cultivation for microalgal CO2 fixation testing, a large-scale photobioreactor and LED light source for microalgae cultivation, Spirulina cultivation for CO2 fixation and other research projects.
