CSEM's CellBot is a robotic system for automated selection of cells or particles from a container, such as a petri dish, for placing into another container, such as a multi well plate. The CellBot combines a fully automated inverted light microscope with a very fast delta robot for actuation of the handling tool (in this case a glass pipette). Only the robot and the microscope move with respect to the stationary sample platform. This is important for prevention of liquid sloshing in the petri dish and multiwell plate.
