Tether Test 20 - First KSC Flight
On Friday August 3rd 2012, the Morpheus Team successfully flew it's first flight at Kennedy Space Center. This flight will lead the way to the first untethered flight of the Morpheus vehicle.








Gamera II HPH World Record Flight: 50 seconds
Gamera II is the second human powered helicopter from the University of Maryland's Alfred Gessow Rotorcraft Center.The NAA has certified this flight by Kyle Gluesenkamp as a new record at 49.9 seconds! This flight surpasses Colin Gore's incredible 40-second flight in Gamera II of a couple days ago (youtu.be and a new world record for human powered helicopters! www.agrc.umd.edu This flight was almost five times longer than the current official record of 11.4 seconds, set by Judy Wexler in Gamera I last summer (youtu.be and over twice as long as the 19.4 second flight of Akira Naito's Yuri I in 1994 (youtu.be The team is pursuing the American Helicopter Society International's (AHS) Igor I.
