Commonly he was called by his nickname, "The Lightgreen Man". In 1967 he formed a partnership with his father and the great breakthrough came in that year. When two pairs were purchased from the famous breeder Jack Fischer. Successes followed each another at the BSClub, only the The Budgerigar Man" Harry Bryan, was more successful on the shows that time. The highlight in his career, was achieved with a baby lightgreen hen which became "Best in Show" on the BS,Worldshow in 1984. The success story continued also in the following years, with two more light green hens,a lightgreen cock and a skyblue hen all winning Best Opposite Sex at the BSClub show.. The stud of Chris Snell has a udergone a gradual metamorphosis in the last eight years.Next to the orginal line,we can see a second line based on the birds of Jac Cuyten and a third line which has built fom the Ken Fagan birds. These bloodlines mated to each other brought him undoubtedly the best budgerigars he has ever bred. Kind regards ,from, Harry van Doorne.e-mail: budgie@zonnet.nl
