Angana bids goodbye to Aakash and gives him a kiss on the cheeks. Menka notices them. Kanak comes home. Mrs Gupta asks for her salary. Kanak lies that she hasn't received it yet. Mr Gupta informs her that he knows she got the cheque. Kanak agrees to give the salary on her conditions that Vikas has to leave Pratap's job and he must quit drinking. Mr Gupta shuts her up. Mrs Gupta spills rice on the floor and breaks glass jar on the spilled rice grains. She asks Kanak to separate each rice grain from the broken glass pieces and cook the rice so that she can eat it for a week. Both Mr and Mrs Gupta switch off the lights go to sleep. Menka tells Pratap that she can't sleep on Chatai and she needs a bed to sleep. Kamla confronts Sunder about Menka's background. Sunder refuses to reveal anything. Finally Sunder reveals that Pratap has brought her in the Raichand house. Phoolchand decides to stay shut. Menka knocks on Kalyani's bedroom and creates emotional drama about how she had to do all the house chores and how Angana and Chandana made her sleep on the chatai. Raichand deliberately calls up doctor. Kalyani is furious to know that both Angana and Chandana made her work....
