Wings of Russia: Seaplanes. Steel Albatrosses. (Episode 12 of 18)






News Agencies report each summer about fires in one or another country. Fire brings colossal losses. Firefighting aviation comes to help. Literally sliding along the water, a seaplane fills a water-tank in a few seconds. And now tons of water are ready again to be dropped in the center of fire... Today seaplanes are used, mainly, in an extraordinary situations. But during their whole history they were fighting, they were transporting passengers and they were saving people. It contains a lot of unique video footage. The documentary speaks about creation and development of fighters, bombers, helicopters, reconnaissance planes, hydro-planes, planes of civilian Aviation and also about sport and training Aviation, in the USSR and Russia.
