Oketz - The Crack Canine Unit

Oketz is the army's crack dog handling unit where soldiers train dogs to sniff out explosives, flush out terrorists, hunt down fugitives, and detect infiltrations. No longer just clerks and instructors, women are increasingly being placed in combat roles. Infolive.tv visited the Oketz home base, met with female combatants and their dogs, and learned upfront about the unit's vital work in the ongoing crackdown on terror. A place where lipstick is replaced by camouflage paint.08/29/07
