A few nice floret images I found:

This is a goldenrod, Solidago. My wife was pretty sure that it was one, but she said to just let it grow in her flower garden, so we did. Thank God, we had some good rains recently -- officially taken off drought status -- and the plants are flourishing. Goldenrods are everywhere, it seems. I didn't know, until I took a closer look, that they can be such magnets for insects. My wife thinks she counted eight species on this flower at one time. There's a honeybee, plus one coming in for a landing, and a wasp or two, visible in this photo. I count at least five insects in the photo. You may need the larger sizes to see them all.
Goldenrod is a member of the Asteraceae, which are known for having many flowers together. As you can see, that's true here. The plant grow up to a couple of yards/meters in height.
Goldenrod often gets blamed for allergies, that, according to this Wikipedia article, should be blamed on ragweed, which is less conspicuous.
