Spirea flowers and yellow leaves
From my wife's flower garden.
I confess -- this was seriously cropped. Note that the larger sizes aren't very large. I also tweaked the contrast a little with The Gimp, but just a little. Spirea, like a lot of other plants, is a member of the Rosaceae. I didn't know this until I got serious in Flickr. (I try to put the family name in the tags.) I should have known. Even though the flowers are small, probably about 1 cm/0.3 in across, they have flower parts in 5s, and the petals are separate from each other.
The plant is beautiful, especially in the fall. It comes in more than one color. To see that, click on "spirea" in the tags.
Thanks for looking!
